Vegan Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

NUTRITIONAL INFO PER HALF THE VEGETABLE FILLING WITH 1/4 CUP OF CHEESE SAUCE ON 2 SLICES OF EZEKIEL BREAD

CARBS: 44 GRAMS
INGREDIENTS
6 oz Portobello mushrooms, de stemmed and sliced
½ medium onion sliced
1 small green pepper sliced
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp vegan Worcestershire sauce (affiliate link)
1/2 cup vegan cheese sauce
4 slices of bread (for weight loss friendly I like Ezekiel bread) (affiliate link)
INSTRUCTIONS
1). Heat a nonstick pan over medium high heat and add the mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, garlic/onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Add a few tbsp of water to help them cook down.
2). Once they have cooked down add the 2 tbsp of the vegan Worcestershire sauce and cook for another minute then turn off the heat.
3). Add the vegetable filling to some toasted bread of your choice. *I like Ezekiel 7 grain bread for a healthy and weight loss friendly option.
4). Then top with ¼ cup hot cheese sauce and enjoy!

These sandwiches look AMAZING! Question, though: in the pics above, the sauce is white but in the link provided, the sauce is yellow; is it the same sauce?
I’m guessing she just left out the carrots to make it look like provolone. I’m not sure how that effects the flavor but I’m so looking forward to trying this!

Kiki can correct me if I’m wrong but it is same sauce minus the carrots. She had posted that somewhere.
Looks so good! Is that your vegan cheese sauce in the picture? Its a white sauce
I have the same question about the sauce? Is this white sauce different?
To all, in one of her videos where she showed the cheesesteak filling on potatoes instead of bread, she mentioned making the cheese sauce without the carrots in order to make it lighter in color.
Love these!! Made them tonight and used both bread and potatoes.
