Onion Rings

INGREDIENTS
1 large sweet onion sliced into thick rings
1 cup flour (oat or gluten free flour for gluten free)
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
pepper to taste
1 cup water
4 cups panko bread crumbs (can use gluten free)
INSTRUCTIONS
1). Preheat the oven to 425°.
2). To make the batter mix the flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and pepper in a bowl, slowly mix in the water to make a thick batter.
3). Place bread crumbs in another bowl.
4). Take onion rings one at a time and coat with batter first then bread crumbs and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
5). Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crispy.
6). Once done you may season to taste with garlic salt and enjoy with some ketchup.

These are delicious!!! Made them last night. Family all loved them. I did add some chipotle pepper powder (1tsp) to the batter and will likely add a bit more next time. Thank you for the recipe!!
